The teaching of chemical technology and environmental chemistry and of the related laboratory practices are integrated part of the educational program of the Institute of Chemistry at Eötvös University. Our main goal is to provide fundamental knowledge that could help chemists to work effectively in industries utilizing chemistry. Our research activities are focused on different aspects of chemical technology and environmental chemistry including the development of green technologies and novel processes for environmental protection, design of new catalytic systems, environmental application of cyclodextrins and its derivatives, environmental analysis and validation, analysis of toxins-containing biological samples, polymer chemistry, and applications of renewable intermediates and feedstocks.
